Mid-Coast Habitat for Humanity Gets a Hardworking New Box Truck
Chevrolet 4500 HG Low Cab Forward
Some deliveries are about more than a new set of keys. When Mid-Coast Habitat for Humanity picked up their new Chevrolet 4500 HG Low Cab Forward box truck at Quirk Chevrolet Rockland, it marked the start of a lot of good work ahead for families right here in midcoast Maine.
Executive Director Tia and ReStore Manager Jen were on hand for the handoff, joined by Rich Mazurek, Sales Manager at Quirk Rockland. Between building homes and keeping the ReStore stocked with donated furniture, appliances, and building materials, the Habitat team spends a lot of its week moving things from one place to another. A truck that can handle that load, day in and day out, makes a real difference.
The Chevrolet 4500 HG Low Cab Forward is purpose-built for exactly that kind of work. Its cab-over design gives it a tight turning radius that shines on narrow village streets and crowded job sites, while the roomy box body swallows donations, lumber, and appliances with space to spare. Low step-in height means easier loading and unloading all day long, and Chevrolet's commercial-grade durability means it will keep showing up shift after shift, Maine winter after Maine winter.
For a nonprofit, every dollar counts and every trip matters. This truck means fewer runs, more donations collected, and more materials delivered where they are needed most. It is a piece of equipment that quietly multiplies what a small, dedicated team can accomplish.
Thanks to Rich Mazurek and the crew at Quirk Chevrolet Rockland for helping get the right truck into the right hands. Supporting the organizations that build up our communities is one of the best parts of this job.
Congratulations, Mid-Coast Habitat for Humanity! We cannot wait to see all the places this truck takes you — and all the families it helps along the way.
