Quirk Chevrolet Donates a Traverse to Shaw House — Employees Add $2,500 for Upkeep

Quirk Chevrolet donated a brand new 2017 Chevy Traverse to Shaw House in Bangor, giving the organization's staff a reliable vehicle to reach homeless and at-risk teens across the state. The Traverse now travels as far south as Portland, as far north as Presque Isle, and as far east as Machias in support of Shaw House's work.

Shaw House provides food, shelter, and educational and vocational support for homeless teens, with both short- and long-term programs to help them get back on their feet. Special thanks to Bangor Savings Bank's Kendra Speed, Board Chair of Shaw House, for her collaboration in making this donation happen.

To help keep the Traverse on the road, Quirk Auto Group employees came together and personally donated an additional $2,500 toward its ongoing maintenance and upkeep. It's a reminder of why shopping local matters — Maine businesses giving back to the communities they serve.
