Quirk Chevrolet Portland Showcases the Blazer EV at Girl Scouts of Maine's Green ME Up
Earth Day in Freeport means Green ME Up, Girl Scouts of Maine's annual sustainability festival on the L.L. Bean Flagship Campus — rock climbing, recycling crafts, live music, s'mores, and booths from two dozen environmentally minded organizations, all built around getting Maine families outside and thinking about the planet.
Quirk Chevrolet of Portland joined this year's festival with something a little different: the all-new Chevrolet Blazer EV, on display for anyone curious about what an electric future actually looks like. From the moment the gates opened until 2 p.m., families could walk right up, ask questions, and get a real look at the vehicle up close.
Girl Scouts of Maine builds Green ME Up to help girls and their families build confidence around the environment the same way their broader programming builds confidence in life — hands-on, unintimidating, and fun. An EV showcase fit right in alongside the worm bins and the solar demos.
Thanks to Girl Scouts of Maine and L.L. Bean for hosting another great Green ME Up, and to everyone who stopped by the Quirk display to talk EVs.
An Earth Day festival built to make sustainability approachable for Maine families — and a first up-close look at an electric Chevrolet for anyone curious enough to ask.
