Quirk Employees in Bangor Support Youth Environmental Learning and Competition

Quirk Auto Group's Bangor employees have chosen to support Maine Envirothon, a program dedicated to educating and challenging today's youth to become tomorrow's environmental leaders. The contribution supports high school students from the Greater Bangor area and beyond who take part in this hands-on natural resource competition.

Envirothon is a natural resource problem-solving competition open to students in grades 9-12. Working as teams of three to five, plus an alternate and an adult advisor, students are tested in an outdoor setting across five areas: aquatics, forestry, soils, wildlife, and a current national environmental issue. Regional and state competitions are held each spring, with Maine's top team advancing to the North American Envirothon finals to compete against teams from across the United States and Canada.

Jack Quirk, Tom Quirk, Joe Quirk, and many other Quirk employees came together to fund this donation, proud to invest in the next generation of Maine's environmental stewards.

A donation from Bangor employees helps Maine high schoolers compete to become the state's next environmental leaders.
