Quirk Employees Present $1,000 Donation to My Place Teen Center

Ask any teenager what they need most and it's rarely a lecture — it's a place to land. Since 1998, My Place Teen Center has been that place for kids ages 10 to 18 in Westbrook, offering comfort meals, tutoring, life skills, and, most of all, a sense that someone is glad they showed up.

On May 10, 2019, employees from Quirk Chevrolet Portland, Motor City Portland, Cars By Us Portland, Fiat of Portland, and Alfa Romeo of Portland came together for a $1,000 donation, presented to Donna Dwyer, President and CEO of My Place Teen Center, at their location at 755 Main Street in Westbrook.

My Place Teen Center's vision is that every young person who walks through their doors will leave with the academic, job-readiness, and life skills to build an independent adult life defined by stewardship, courage, passion, and joy. Their programs address the gap between the social skills many at-risk teens are missing and the community norms nobody ever taught them.

Thank you to Donna Dwyer and the entire My Place Teen Center staff for giving Westbrook's kids somewhere to belong.
