Quirk Subaru Employees Back Free Dyslexia Tutoring in Bangor

Quirk Subaru employees recently made a donation to the Children's Dyslexia Center of Bangor, supporting its mission of free, one-on-one tutoring for children struggling with dyslexia.

Dyslexia is a neurological learning disability that affects reading, writing, and spelling for as many as one in five people. Left unaddressed, it can make school, social life, and self-esteem a daily struggle. The Bangor center is part of a national network started in 1994 by the Scottish Rite Masons of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction — the country's first program of its kind — and has since grown to more than 40 centers in 13 states. Beyond tutoring kids directly, the center also trains new tutors so the program can keep reaching more children.

We're proud to help a local organization doing work that changes the trajectory of a child's education. Thank you to everyone at the Children's Dyslexia Center of Bangor for the difference you make.

An employee donation that helps fund free, one-on-one tutoring for Bangor-area children with dyslexia.
