When the school day ends in Augusta, a lot of teenagers have nowhere in particular to be. The Augusta Teen Center — a Boys & Girls Club serving grades 7 through 12 — exists to change that. Around 250 teens come through each year, roughly 98% of them qualifying for free or reduced lunch, and the Center is the only place in the area offering free after-school programming to them.

On May 21, 2022, the team at Quirk Ford Augusta presented Ashley from the Boys & Girls Club with a $1,000 donation, funded entirely by employee contributions. It was the last of a round of employee-funded donations made in Augusta that spring, and the group wanted it to land somewhere it would be felt directly.

At the Teen Center, that means after-school hours in a safe place with adults who know your name, a summer program that runs weekdays through the break, a nutrition program where teens learn to cook real meals from scratch, and leadership programming that treats young people like they have something to offer — because they do.

Quirk Ford Augusta is proud to stand behind an organization that shows up for Augusta's teenagers, every single afternoon.

A $1,000 employee donation supporting free after-school and summer programming for Augusta teens who have nowhere else to go when the school day ends.
