The Portland Sea Dogs are Portland's Double-A baseball club, playing in the Eastern League since 1994 and serving as the Boston Red Sox affiliate since 2003. They play at Hadlock Field, a 7,368-seat ballpark known for the Maine Monster in left field and the lighthouse that rises over center after a Sea Dogs home run — a summer gathering place for families across southern Maine.
